I just don't get it. The joke isn't funny it's just confusing. What? the pink guy turns into another guy? Is it established in the lore that he can do that?

Is this a retcon? Why did the first oc not shoot the second right away? If the pink oc with long hair can just turn into other people why didn't he turn int metal like metal mario? Metal mario is bullet proof.
